My sister had the A570 IS for half a year now and loves it.
I used it and it’s very good for the price.
No worry about losing the charger or battery dead.
You can use any AA battery.
I know a few people lose or misplace their charge when they need it.
SD1000 is small and better looking, but no image stabilization.
Sony are not as reliable as Canon.
Canon takes good videos too compare to Sony and other brands.
I just help my cousin bought two A570s at newegg.com with the combo package.
Hurry and order it by year end w/ the combo to get the free memory card.
