I have a Nikon D40 and SanDisk Ultra II card that format 8gig not. Any help?
Just bought a camera and card. I put the card in, unlocked, and recognizes the card. But when I run the Format command, which reads "full format" and then tells me that the card has not been formatted. What am I doing wrong here?
Did you delete the images from the card through the computer? If so, sometimes the computers create a "Recycle Bin" on the card that interfere with the camera format. If you have a card reader connected the computer, put the card into the reader and the format (full format not quick format) in FAT32 format. Then placed back into your camera and make a camera format. Using computerized form must map all bad sectors too.
