I've been using this camera to look at a couple of months now and I have been very proud of it until now. I rose from a Sony Dslr-A230 and have never thought of wanting to return. I'm no expert photographer and I do not load (lowly government employee) and have no remorse any buyer spending this amount of cash on a camera. None whatsoever. Understandably the audience to be higher than the Sony, as a result it is a mid-range rather than an entry level, however, is surprisingly high.

Camera body: solid and feels terribly well in their hand. I have no large or small hands, and feel close to the right on behalf of me. The buttons are arranged correctly and all the fingers of one interval reach while not extended. The aperture and shutter speed record back with just the right amount of resistance. The buttons have a press company and a cap understandable when activated. LCD display on high is great, is adaptable to what specifically you want to display.

Lens: I have the 18-105 lens kit (purchased body for sale and the kit lens on eBay for $ 200 refurb … save some cash) and a 50mm F1.8 lens. VR works quite well and can allow (or so) with respect to shoot three stops slower than would normally going to hand out. I will sell at around 1 / 15, while not an excessive amount of blur. you can hear positively to kick in a positive and is seen in the viewfinder. reasonably appears as if drunk (the moves are a bit delayed and slow). image quality with the objective the kit is also very intelligent but with a moderate amount of linear distortion at the edges, especially around 18 mm. It is still somewhat corrected by post-processing, however, the value of mention. About 24 mm is where I've noticed less distortion. Since it is an AF-S (ie the comprehensive approach with a motor in the intervals of the lens instead of the screw unit), auto focus is incredibly fast. much better than my 50 mm lens using the unit screw.

Nikon D3100: Should I buy the two lens kit with 55-200 VR?

So I decided to get the Nikon D3100. im deciding whether at 1. Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm lens AUD $ 800 or 2. Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm and 55-300 / 200 AUD VR Lens $ 1196 I've never used a DSLR before so this is the first one to buy, does anyone know what the 55-200mm lens is good and if, s necessary to get?

Since the 55-300mm VR 400 AUD less than the cost of retail that the difference here is that it seems a bad package.
