ok, i am shopping around for a nikon digital Slr Camera and i am looking at the D40x.?
should i get the kit with the 18-55mm lens in it, or should i buy the body, and then spend a little extra money on a seperate lens? also, if you have any other suggestions for digital SLRs or websites to shop at, that would be amazing.
I recently purchased the Nikon D40x. I also have a Canon Rebel 35mm SLR. I chose the Nikon because it seemed to be a better value and I liked the feel. I purchased it at Ritz Camera (aka Wolf Camera). They have a deal for $799. You get the camera body, 18-55mm lens, 55-200mm lens and a Nikon Camera bag. They also throw in a bunch of software, free prints, etc. At the time, there were offering a free HP or Canon printer (via rebates). As for the camera, I am pleased with the photos I have taken and plan to experiment a bit with it in the near future. Hope this helps.
