Nikon D60 w / extra lens or D90 w / kit lens?

I'm really having trouble deciding which camera to buy. Best Buy has a deal where you can buy the Nikon D60 with the kit and an additional lens VR 55-200mm and a bag of $ 749.00. They also have the d90 with kit lens only the sale of $ 1,199.00. I know the D90 is a superior camera, but with the objective Additional VR would be the D60 is almost as good? Just to throw it there, possibly only commitment to the D5000 I (w / lens)? I'm mostly going to be taking photos my kids (and start learning to be a more serious photographer.) Really important is to take photos super fast, so do not miss a shot ever.

I prefer the D90, but I own a D90, so I'm biased. It's a great camera! The kit lens might be better, but you can replace with time.
