It is important to choose the right Nikon D5000 Battery Grip for your travel,Because the digital Slr Cameras are getting smaller, offers the addition of a battery grip a little more space for a better camera handling. A battery grip is an accessory for an SLR/DSLR (and occasionally other cameras), which allows the camera to hold multiple batteries to extend the battery life of the camera, and adds a vertical grip with an extra shutter release (and other controls), facilitating the shooting of portrait photography.

Nikon or Sony Digital SRL?
I own Minolta lenses 28-80 1:3.5 -5.6 II macro and 75-300 1:4.5-5.6 AF
Am I better off buying a Nikon D60 or D5000, or should I just buy a Sony A300 or A350 body only?
With those lenses, doesn’t matter which way you go. Neither is a top performer in its class, or anywhere near top.
If you do decide to go Sony, I would suggest you get the body with the included kit lens as well. That could be either the 18-70DT f/3.5-5.6 or the new 18-55DT f/3.5-5.6, depending on which body you get. This will give you some sort of wide angle capability.
The real downside to Sony is that very few places carry lenses and flashes and what not, and when you do find them, this stuff is expensive. You can find Nikon gear anyplace that sells cameras.
