I need some help installing a printer/photocopier to my network…..?
I have a Compaq Presario plugged into the network through an ethernet cord. I have a minolta bizhub 351 but no driver for it. I have windows XP. I need some help in the steps to install this so I can print through my network. Thanks.
Step 1 is to configure the printer with an appropriate static IP address.
Step 2 is to download the Bizhub C351 driver:

I recommend the latest PCL driver for ease of use.
The drivers should install easily through a wizard. However, sometimes the wizard does not work, and if that happens, you need to add the printer manually:
To add manually:
Go to printers and devices in control panel.
Click add a printer.
(here’s the counter-intuitive part)
Add a LOCAL printer (I know, it’s networked, but still…)
Select add a new port, “Standard TCP/IP Port”
Now enter the ip address of your printer.
The port settings can be left default.
It will then ask you for the driver, which you have to browse for and select (using the Have Disk.. button)
If you need more help, update your question.
