Can i use my old Minolta SLR lenses (AF 28-80, AF 75-300) on a Konica Minolta DSLR body (5D,7D or similar)?
I want to get into DSLR photography on a budget (about £200) and thought I could save a lot if I only had to buy a body and use my old lenses, if compatible. Or should I start from scratch.

Yes, you can use Minolta autofocus lenses made for film cameras on Minolta/Sony DSLRs. You cannot, however, use Minolta lenses made for their manual focus film cameras. Remember, however, that the focal length will be increased by roughly 1.5 – so that your 28-80 becomes effectively a 42-120 and the 75-300 a 107-450. Useful at the long end, but not so much at the shorter.
