I am buying myself a new camera! (I love canons) I am going to college in the fall and want one that will last, and one whose technology will not become outdated quickly. Which one is the best? And why is the one that is $400 dollars so much? What makes it special!?

The Canon S95 is leaps and bounds above the rest. The 10mp sensor is great for low light (the more mp the more grain) and has a nice large sensor (hence the high price) for great quality and better low light performance. The S95 also allows full manual override of just about every setting so if you ever desire to learn how to take better pictures, the S95 will take you there whereas the other cameras do not allow much override from the auto settings. The S95 is described as an ‘Enthusiast’ camera for those who care a little more about photography and don’t mind learning a little to make their photos better.
