about a Digital Camera Canon Power shot A550 use and understanding of the instruction manual?
be used 35 mm Slr Cameras for years and consider myself well versed in the use and do not understand technology very well. digital camera, bought into the 20th century and not understand a thing "i need digital camera for Dummies" is a book and if so where I can get. simplified or any other information that will help me unravel the instruction manual. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Even with follow instructions and "repeat" steps that are confused and often is differant. HELP! have used all available information on the web site and still no clarity canon
A550 is a nice automatic camera. Why the difficulties you are experiencing is because you've lost all the controls you used to have with an Slr Camera. My suggestion is to try to put as many automatic functions as possible to get some of the controls again. Try these: Use M mode disable AiAF mode to use spot metering not use Auto ISO does not use auto flash Choose the appropriate white balance Pay attention to the shutter speed and aperture in the middle of press exposure compensation shutter Use Indirect aperture settings and what specific problems you're seeing?
